Folks,

Upwards of $8 million dollars is expected to flood into Southeastern Wisconsin to defeat the multiracial working class uprising inspired by Randy “Iron Stache” Bryce

Before the half-Mexican, half-Polish ironworker from Wisconsin became an internet sensation,  Randy Bryce came to Payday Report to give the exclusive on his announcement in his bid to replace Paul Ryan.

Randy came to us because I had gotten to him as a rank-and-file ironworker in the snowy days of the winter of 2011 when the Wisconsin Capitol occupied by union forces protesting Scott Walker’s union busting.

When I was fired during the union drive at POLITICO in 2015, Randy wrote a letter on my behalf to POLITICO protesting the illegal firing. Unable to find work after getting blacklisted for union organizing, Randy Bryce was one of the first 20 subscribers to sign up for Payday in 2016. Randy even let me crash on his couch for a week when I was evicted from my own place.

Randy Bryce got my back when times were tough and now with dark money flooding into defeat, I wanna be there to get his back. I wanna be there to the story of the dynamic multiracial working class coalition pushing back on the ground in Wisconsin.

All the national media is going to focus on is how much dark money will flood into the district while we at Payday wanna tell the story the story of the movement of the regular folks on-the-ground in Wisconsin, who are pushing back.

However, we need your support as readers to do it. We need to raise at least a $1,000 to fly out there, rent a car, eat, and find a place to stay. If we can raise a thousand, we will go to Wisconsin and cover this phenomenal story, we need your support once again to do it.

Here at Payday Report, we are attempting to rebuild the labor press that far too long has been neglected. We’ve done big things as a publication.

We got a union staffer fired for sexual misconduct, forced the DNC to pay its intern, spent more time on the ground covering the Nissan union election than any other publication, and were the only national publication on the left that was on the ground for the teachers strikes in West Virginia, Oklahoma, Arizona, and North Carolina.

We’ve published over 250 stories and traveled to over 20 states telling stories of the labor movement that no one else is telling.

Now, we need your help us go back to Wisconsin and expose the forces of dark money.
